Is there a security deposit required?

Yes. A $1,000 security deposit authorization is required and held on your credit card, similar to a hotel incidental hold. No charges are applied unless there is property damage or violations of venue policies. Credit card information is collected during your final walkthrough approximately 30 days before your wedding.

Do you accept credit card payments?

Yes. Coastal 59 Venue accepts credit card payments for your convenience. A 3% processing fee is applied to credit card transactions to offset bank processing costs. Payments made by check or cash are also welcome and do not incur a processing fee.

Is event insurance required?

Yes, we highly recommend. Event insurance is required and can be obtained through an independent insurance provider. This protects both you and the venue and is standard practice for professional wedding venues.

What time must music and events conclude?

To comply with local regulations and ensure a smooth event conclusion, music must end:

  • Monday through Sunday: Music concludes at 10:00 PM, with all guests, vendors, and personal belongings cleared from the property by 11:00 PM.

These timelines allow for proper breakdown and ensure compliance with Ocean City noise ordinances and venue policies.

When can we begin decorating?

If you are providing and setting up your own décor, access to Coastal 59 Venue begins at the time specified in your contract. Early access is not permitted, as this ensures proper preparation, vendor coordination, and readiness of the venue.

For couples with our fully orchestrated packages, the Barefoot Bride Weddings team handles the professional setup and breakdown of venue-provided items, including table linens and coordinated décor elements, as well as placement of your personal décor items according to your pre-approved plan.

If you choose to bring and set up your own decorations independently, you are responsible for setup and complete removal within your contracted event time. Nothing may be delivered early or left overnight.

Are sparkler exits allowed?

No. Sparkler exits are not permitted due to Ocean City fire safety regulations and local ordinances, which prohibit open sparkler use within city limits.

How many guests can be seated at each table?

Each round table comfortably seats eight guests. Nine guests may be accommodated if necessary, but eight is recommended for optimal comfort and table presentation.

How do we obtain a marriage license in Ocean City, Maryland?

Marriage licenses are issued through the Worcester County Clerk of Court.

What is the event cleanup process?

All personal belongings, décor, gifts, and vendor materials must be removed at the conclusion of your event. Coastal 59 Venue must be left in the same condition in which it was found.

Overnight storage is not permitted. Our planning and coordination team will guide vendors and couples to ensure a smooth and organized breakdown process.

Is there a food, beverage, or guest count minimum?

No. Coastal 59 Venue does not require a minimum guest count, allowing couples to host micro weddings, intimate celebrations, or full receptions based on their preferences.

What is Coastal 59 Venue’s alcohol policy?

Coastal 59 Venue operates in compliance with Maryland state alcohol laws. The venue does not hold a retail liquor license and therefore cannot sell alcohol directly.

Couples are welcome to provide their own alcohol for their wedding. However, in accordance with Maryland law and venue policy, all alcohol must be served by our certified and insured bartender arranged through Barefoot Bride Weddings.

For safety, liability, and legal compliance:

  • Only our certified bartenders may handle, pour, and serve alcohol

  • Guests, family members, and wedding party members are not permitted to serve alcohol

  • Self-service alcohol stations are not permitted

  • Alcohol must remain within designated service areas

Why is certified bartending required?

Are candles or open flames allowed?

Yes. Candles are permitted if the flame is positioned at least two inches below the rim of the glass enclosure, in accordance with fire safety standards.

What furniture is included with Coastal 59 Venue?

No. Confetti, glitter, rice, sparklers, and similar materials are not permitted, as they create safety concerns and cleanup challenges.

Can décor be attached to venue beams or structures?

Yes, lightweight décor may be tied to approved beam areas with prior approval. Clients or vendors must provide their own ladder and ensure no damage occurs. No tape, pins are nails are permitted on walls or windows.

Can vendors deliver items outside of the contracted rental period?

No. All vendor deliveries, setup, and removal must occur during the contracted rental period to ensure proper coordination and venue readiness.
